About

What is CBT?
Companies Business Tours (CBT) is a unique educational program that connects high school students with real companies and entrepreneurs. The program offers students the opportunity to visit leading companies, observe how they operate, ask questions, and analyze actual business processes. At the end of each session, students prepare presentations with suggestions for improvements and solutions to specific problems, thereby gaining practical experience and developing their analytical and leadership skills.
Why was CBT created?
High schools often lack direct contact with the business world. CBT was created to fill this gap and enable the younger generation to understand how companies really work and to develop critical thinking, creativity, and the ability to solve real-world problems. The program supports not only students’ professional growth but also their personal development, preparing them for successful studies at prestigious universities and their future careers.
How does CBT work?
- Structure: 4–5 company visits, each lasting 1–2 hours, with students in small groups of 10–20 people.
- Visit itinerary: Tour of the company, interaction with the owner or top management
- Final presentation: Students analyze the selected company, identify problems, and propose solutions.
- Outcomes: Certificate, project portfolio, measurable impact for the company and students.
Why Get Involved?
CBT gives students a unique insight into the business world, helps them develop analytical and presentation skills, allows them to network with business owners and mentors, and provides them with concrete achievements to include on their résumés and college applications. The program isn’t just about theory—students directly influence company processes with their proposals and learn to apply their knowledge in a practical way.

What we are doing

How We Work:
CBT connects students with real companies through structured visits, during which students observe how the company operates, discuss with owners and management, and analyze processes. Each visit lasts 1–2 hours, and students work in small groups to gain as much practical experience as possible.
What We Do:
- We organize field trips to 4–5 companies per program cycle.
- We provide mentoring and opportunities for interaction with owners and top management.
- Students prepare final presentations in which they analyze the company, identify problems, and propose practical solutions.
- We document all outcomes: certificates, portfolios, and feedback from both companies and students.
Impact on participants:
- They develop analytical, presentation, and leadership skills.
- They gain a realistic perspective on how companies operate and how business works.
- They build networks with entrepreneurs and mentors.
- They walk away with concrete projects they can use in their studies and college applications.
In the future:
- International CBT: Students will visit other countries, such as Kenya. There, they will gain different experiences. They will then give a presentation to their investor. This will help both investors and students establish contacts for future talent.Jak pracujeme:
CBT propojuje studenty se skutečnými podniky prostřednictvím strukturovaných návštěv, kde studenti sledují fungování firmy, diskutují s majiteli a managementem a analyzují procesy. Každá návštěva trvá 1–2 hodiny a studenti pracují v malých skupinách, aby získali co nejvíce praktických zkušeností.
Co děláme:
- Organizujeme exkurze do 4-5 firem na jeden běh programu.
- Poskytujeme mentoring a interakci s majiteli a top managementem.
- Studenti připravují závěrečné prezentace, kde analyzují firmu, identifikují problémy a navrhují praktická řešení.
- Dokumentujeme všechny výstupy: certifikáty, portfolio, feedback od firem i studentů.
Dopad na účastníky:
- Rozvíjí analytické, prezentační a leadership dovednosti.
- Získávají reálný pohled na fungování firem a podnikání.
- Budují networking s podnikateli a mentory.

First run of CBT

The first year of CBT was a success and confirmed that connecting students with the real world of business makes sense. During the program, students visited several Czech companies, met with their management, gained a close-up look at how these companies operate, and, at the end, presented their own proposals and recommendations directly to business leaders. We would like to thank all the partner companies, students, and mentors who participated in the first year of the program. Their trust and cooperation helped us lay a solid foundation for the further development of CBT.We are now preparing future editions of the program and, at the same time, expanding CBT to other regions of the Czech Republic and abroad. Our goal is to offer as many students as possible the opportunity to learn about business directly from the people who shape it every day.
